Kimberly Chanel was born and raised in Suitland, Maryland Prince Georges County Maryland.  She went to Bowie State University where she majored in Business Management. She started writing after she went through a traumatic loss. Kimberly Chanel felt like the world was against her taking loss after loss. Then she pulled that pen and paper out when she left and moved down Charlotte, NC. She met a guy that would change her life for the better. She saw how he was successful. He pushed her and told her you can be at your best potential get out your feelings and make it happen. 

Kimberly Chanel writes urban fiction that blends love, loyalty, and street survival. With deep roots in Charlotte, North Carolina she  brings raw emotion and authenticity to stories about power, pain, and redemption.
